Temiskaming Shores is located along the southern edge of the Clay Belt area, near the Quebec border on the shores of Lake Temiskaming's Wabi Bay.

The City is located within the Temiskaming Graben, a smaller branch of the Ottawa Bonnechere Graben. A large escarpment known as Devil's Rock is located near Haileybury.
