Fishing

Fishing is a favourite winter and summer pass time in the area. Lake Temiskaming and another 25-30 smaller lakes offer pike, trout, pickerel, bass and various other species for the angler. And don't forget the annual Bass Fishing Tournament. This year it was held on July 9th, 2011.

Hunting

Hunters from as far away as the United States travel to the Temiskaming Shores area during the hunting seasons. Hunting in the area offers small game, migratory bird, moose and bear. There are many excellent hunting camps close by.
