Tri-Town Transit

Stock Transportation Ltd. is under contract with the City of Temiskaming Shores and the Town of Cobalt to provide this service to the community.

Transit Hours of Operation

The Tri-Town Transit runs on a 1 hour service as follows:
Monday to Thursday	7:00 am to 10:20 pm
Friday	7:00 am to 12:00 am
Saturday	8:00 am to 6:20 pm
Sunday	No service
Please note that there is no service on Sundays or Statutory Holidays unless otherwise posted.

How to Use the Schedule 

1. Look at the map and locate the nearest number to your current location.
2. Use the number on the map, and associate it with the corresponding local landmark.
3. Look at the schedule and find the local landmark at the top.
4. Move down the column to find out when the next bus will arrive at your stop. 

Please Note: Buses will stop at all marked stops but also uses the "Hail Bus" method where traffic flows permit.  So should you not yet be at the bus stop, be sure to "Hail" the bus to notify the bus driver that you wish to get on and he/she will stop the bus where traffic permits.

Please note that Student tickets are available at your school. Children ride free until their 6th birthday. Adult fares begin on 12th birthday. Senior fares begin on 55th birthday.

Transfer Policy

A transfer must be requested at the time that fare is paid and must be used by the person to whom it was issued. Transfers are timed and good for two hours and must be used within the old town boundary limits that it was requested in.

Riding The Bus

• Our friendly drivers will ensure a safe and pleasant trip
• Any article found on the bus will be taken to Stock Transportation Ltd. located at 585 Main Street, Haileybury
• Smoking, drinking and eating is prohibited on the bus

Transit Service Background

The Tri Town Transit system was established in 1976 and serves the City of Temiskaming Shores and the Town of Cobalt covering a total area of approximately 182 square kilometers with a total population of approximately 12,850 with the purpose of transporting residents between the municipalities in an efficient and effective manner. The system is contracted to Stock Transportation Ltd. who manages the system with input from the communities and provides vehicles and drivers for the operation of the service.

The current transit fleet consists of three (3) vehicles. Two (2) are in service and one (1) is a spare in the event of a breakdown or for servicing of one of the regular buses. The buses are converted school busses and are owned by the contractor.

The system covers two (2) fixed bus routes. One is considered the long route and one is considered the short route. The schedule and routes are designed to provide an hourly service from 7:00 am to 10:20 pm on Monday to Thursday, from 7:00 am to 12:00 am on Friday and from 8:00 am to 6:20 pm on Saturday. There is no bus service on Sunday or on statutory holidays.
