haileybury from the air

In August, 1993, largely to the efforts of Ken Boal, Chief Administrative Officer for the Town of New Liskeard, the Lake Temiskaming/Ottawa River Waterway became a reality. Ken Boal worked with municipalities along the river, and brought in Ontario and Quebec as well as the federal governments. He convinced them of the projects feasibility, and he even obtained financing and arranged for development of a unique hydraulic trailer system. These trailers can move most types and sizes of boats throughout the system, including pontoon boats up to 28 feet and large cruisers up to 30 feet (houseboats excluded). For more information and maps on the "Ottawa River Waterway" please click here.

We also have a very busy and exciting "Tri-Town Power and Sail Squadron". For more information on the Squadron please click here.
