City of Temiskaming Shores Council passed By-Law no. 2021-139 being a by-law to adopt a Recreation Facilities Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination Policy at its regular meeting on September 21, 2021.  The policy builds upon Ontario Regulation 364/20 which requires those who enter our recreation and hall facilities to show proof of vaccination.

In addition to the requirements set out in the Provincial regulation, the City of Temiskaming Shores is requiring everyone who is eligible to be vaccinated to show proof of vaccination. Exemptions are available for those who are unable to be vaccinated for a medical reason and have a written exemption.  Some exemptions which are included in the Provincial regulation will not be available to enter City of Temiskaming Shores facilities.

City staff will begin screening patrons who enter our facilities as of today, September 22, 2021.

To show proof of vaccination you must provide your COVID-19 vaccination receipt either in paper or electronic form for staff to view along with a piece of ID with your name on it.  Staff will check to ensure that you are fully vaccinated and that your name on the receipt matches your ID.  In addition to the proof of vaccination requirements, you will still need to complete the COVID-19 screening and contact tracing form.

Proof of vaccination is being implemented to ensure that our facilities are as safe as possible for our patrons, our athletes our staff and our community.
