1.0      Purpose and Intent

This Request for Tender describes the requirements of The Corporation of the City of Temiskaming Shores to receive submissions from qualified companies for the extension of the South Temiskaming Active Travel Organization (STATO) Trail from the intersection of Albert Street and Farr Drive to 325 Farr Drive in the former Town of Haileybury.

2.0      Background

The City of Temiskaming Shores has 15km of paved active transportation trails located both on and off-road throughout the City. The City of Temiskaming Shores is a Bicycle Friendly Community owning a Bronze Designation from the Share The Road Cycling Coalition.

Through the ICIP – COVID-19 Resilience Program the City of Temiskaming Shores is looking to complete a missing link in the network by completing a 450m section of on-road trail from Temiskaming Shores City Hall to the intersection of Albert Street and Farr Drive within the community of Haileybury. The completed section will consist of a 3m wide, paved pathway with single solid white delineated line. The completed path will ensure a continuous route from Albert Street in Haileybury to the Wellington Street South in New Liskeard, a distance of 9.3km.

3.0      Definitions

The Corporation of the City of Temiskaming Shores shall hereinafter be referred to as the “City”.

4.0      Submission

Submissions must be in .pdf format and submitted electronically to: tenders@temiskamingshores.ca

The closing date for the submission of proposals will be at 2:00 pm local time on Tuesday July 6, 2021.

  • Late proposals will not be accepted;
  • Proposals by fax will not be accepted;
  • Proposals by mail will not be accepted;
  • Partial proposals are not accepted;
  • The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals;
  • The lowest priced proposal will not necessarily be accepted;
  • The City reserves the right to enter into negotiations with a firm and any changes to the proposal that are acceptable to both parties will be binding.
  • The proposals shall be valid for 60 (sixty) days from submission date.
