The City of Temiskaming Shores is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and forward-thinking Engineering Technician to help support and strengthen the City’s municipal infrastructure and asset management systems.

Reports To: Director of Environmental Services
Salary: $36.35 to $40.74 hourly
Hours: 35 hours per week

What You’ll Do
As an Engineering Technician, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving the City’s infrastructure data and asset management systems. Your work will directly support informed decision-making and long-term municipal planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage municipal infrastructure data collection and verification
- Maintain accurate asset inventories and infrastructure records
- Support the development and ongoing maintenance of the City’s Asset Management Plan and Strategy
- Assist with infrastructure mapping updates and asset management software administration
- Collaborate with departments across the organization to support municipal planning initiatives
- Coordinate Ontario One Call locate requests
- Support annual infrastructure repair and maintenance data collection
- Maintain technical equipment and software used by the Public Works Department
- Present infrastructure and asset management information to Council when required
Required Qualifications
- Engineering Technician or Engineering Technologist diploma from an accredited institution
- Minimum two years of related experience
- Valid Ontario Class “G” driver’s licence with an acceptable driving record
- Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
