    Notice of Nomination for Office
    The City of Temiskaming Shores is accepting nominations for the offices of Mayor and Councillor for the 2026 Municipal Election.
    Nomination forms must be filed with the Returning Officer during normal office hours from the first business day of May in 2026 to August 20, 2026, or on Nomination Day, August 21, 2026, between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

    Marina Slip Registrations Now Open
    The City of Temiskaming Shores is now accepting marina slip registrations for the upcoming boating season.
    Returning boaters’ previous season slips will be reserved until May 11, 2026. Registration packages and more information are available on the City’s marina webpage.

    The City of Temiskaming Shores will assume operations of the New Liskeard and Haileybury marinas for the 2026 boating season.
    Existing services are expected to continue, with information on seasonal bookings, rates, and operational updates to be shared in advance of the 2026 season.

    Flood Watch in Effect
    The Ministry of Natural Resources has issued a Flood Watch in effect until Tuesday, April 21, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. as water levels and river flows continue to rise during the spring freshet.
    Residents, especially those in low-lying areas and along shorelines, are encouraged to monitor conditions, use caution near waterbodies, and supervise children and pets around water.

    Pete’s Dam Closed Due to High Water Flows
    The City of Temiskaming Shores is advising residents that Pete’s Dam is currently closed due to high water flows.
    Barriers and closed signs have been placed at the parking lot entrance, and the park will remain closed until water levels subside.
