    Municipal Fire Ban Implemented
    The City of Temiskaming Shores and the Township of Harris have implemented fire bans due to the extreme forest fire danger rating in the area.
    All burning permits are suspended and all open-air fires are prohibited, including fires for cooking and warmth. Residents must make alternate provisions during this period.

    The session will take place on Wednesday, June 3 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Riverside Place, where residents can learn more about the project and ask questions.

    2026 Marina Opening Dates
    The City of Temiskaming Shores is advising residents and visitors of the 2026 opening dates for the Haileybury and New Liskeard marinas.
    Haileybury Marina opens Friday, May 15, 2026, and New Liskeard Marina opens Wednesday, May 20, 2026. Learn more and register at temiskamingshores.ca/recreation-and-culture/marinas/.

    Recreation Department Seasonal Operations Update – Spring 2026
    The City is providing an update on seasonal facility openings and maintenance due to weather conditions and a late spring.
    Splash pad and spray zone openings are delayed until May 29, 2026, while STATO Trail work is expected to be completed by May 22, 2026. Outdoor washrooms will open by May 11, and sport courts and playgrounds are now open.
