Request for Tender: PW-RFT-007-2026 – Supply, Stockpile and/or Deliver Granular ‘M’

The City of Temiskaming Shores is inviting submissions from qualified contractors for the supply, stockpiling and/or delivery of Granular “M” for municipal operations and road-related work within the community.

This Request for Tender seeks pricing for the supply and delivery of 5/8-inch crushed Granular “M” material in accordance with applicable specifications. Depending on operational requirements, material may be stockpiled within a 5 km radius outside the municipal boundary, delivered and stockpiled at City locations, or delivered directly to project sites identified by the City.

The estimated quantity under this tender is 20,000 tonnes, divided between stockpiled material and material delivered and spread at various locations. Quantities are provided for estimating purposes only, and actual quantities may be adjusted as required by the City.

Scope of Work

The successful contractor will be responsible for furnishing all labour, equipment, tools, safety devices, supervision, and related resources necessary to complete the work.

Material may be required for stockpiling at contractor and City locations, including the Haileybury Yard at 452 View Street and the New Liskeard Yard at 200 Lakeshore Road, as well as for delivery to individual project sites as directed by the City.

Identified project site locations in the tender include Young’s Road, Pipeline Road, and Forgotten Corners, with the City reserving the right to adjust quantities and request delivery to additional locations at the submitted unit rates.

Estimated Quantities

Part 1 – Crush and Stockpile and/or Deliver: 13,000 tonnes

Part 2 – Crush, Haul Material and Spread: 7,000 tonnes

Total Estimated Quantity: 20,000 tonnes

Bids must be submitted electronically through the City’s bid opportunities portal in PDF format, with a maximum file size of 50 MB. Late submissions, faxed submissions, mailed submissions, partial tenders, and tenders emailed directly to City staff will not be accepted.

Contractors are encouraged to review the full tender package carefully, including the specifications and applicable OPSS standards, before submitting. Any questions that may affect the tender requirements will be addressed through addendum to ensure fairness to all proponents.
