Winter Storm Update - December 29 2025

Snow and high winds are causing significant drifting on several rural roads. Conditions are changing quickly, and visibility may be reduced at times. Please use extra caution if you must travel.

Problem areas at this time include:

• Peter’s Road from Uno Park Road to Dales Road
• Héroux Road
• Forgotten Corners
• River Road, cautionary closure is in effect
• Hessle Road is currently reduced to one lane

Crews are monitoring and responding as conditions allow. Temporary signage has been placed where possible, although drifting and wind may move signs out of position. Drivers should slow down, watch for narrowed lanes, and turn around if conditions appear unsafe.

Residents are asked to monitor weather conditions closely, drive with caution, and adjust travel plans accordingly.

Important Information for Residents

• Road maintenance and treatment will be prioritized based on road classification and conditions.
• Please refrain from parking vehicles on municipal roads to allow snowplows and maintenance equipment to operate safely and efficiently.
• Waste collection bins placed out on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, must not interfere with snow clearing operations.
• Severe weather may impact Temiskaming Transit operations. Updates will be communicated through the City’s website and social media channels.
