Public Notice: Temiskaming Transit System Review - Community Input Request

Temiskaming Transit, servicing both Temiskaming Shores and the Town of Cobalt, has launched a comprehensive Transit Service Review in partnership with CIMA+ and JL Richards. This important study aims to access the current transit system and explore future improvements and small regional expansion opportunities.

We are seeking your input to help shape the future of public transit in our region.

The study will:

Evaluate current ridership. route coverage, and operational challenges
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accountability, and service frequency
Examine the feasibility to expanding service to neighbouring communities within 45-minute radius
Explore innovative service models such as on-demand or microtransit
Provide a sustainable plan for transit growth, aligned with funding opportunities
