Temiskaming Transit Service Review. We want to hear from YOU! The City of Temiskaming Shores is working with CIMA+ and J.L. Richards, consultation firms, to develop a Transit Service Review for Temiskaming Transit. The Transit Service Review aims to assess the current transit system and the feasibility of future improvements and small regional expansion opportunities. As part of the consultation process, the purpose of the Public Open House is to gather community and stakeholder feedback and answer questions on; the Transit Service Review, share thoughts on how transit can best support your community’s needs, and better serve local residents, businesses and institutions. Note: Public Open House participants who use the Temiskaming Transit System to attend the Open House will receive free tickets to cover the cost of their Transit Fare. Public Notice: Temiskaming Transit System Review - Community Input Request
Temiskaming Transit, servicing both Temiskaming Shores and the Town of Cobalt, has launched a comprehensive Transit Service Review in partnership with CIMA+ and JL Richards. This important study aims to access the current transit system and explore future improvements and small regional expansion opportunities.
We are seeking your input to help shape the future of public transit in our region.
The study will:
- Evaluate current ridership. route coverage, and operational challenges
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accountability, and service frequency
- Examine the feasibility to expanding service to neighbouring communities within 45-minute radius
- Explore innovative service models such as on-demand or microtransit
- Provide a sustainable plan for transit growth, aligned with funding opportunities
