The City of Temiskaming Shores is currently seeking a full time Water Sewer Maintenance Person to join the Public Works Department.
Responsibilities:
- Performs maintenance and repair work for water distribution pipes, valves and pumps, and for sewage collection pipes, valves and appurtenances, including problem identification, excavation, alignment, connections, replacement, customer contact, and recording of work performed; and
- Operates various units of municipal equipment, such as dump trucks, loaders, sanders, half-ton trucks, street sweeper, snow blower, steamer, etc.
Qualifications and Education:
- Successful completion of Grade 12;
- Successful completion or ability to obtain the Operator in Training Exam through Ontario Water and Wastewater Certification Office;
- Ability to obtain up to a Class 2 designation Operator Certification for water distribution systems and sewer collection systems, with training and experience; and
- Must possess a valid Province of Ontario Class “DZ” driver’s license.
Compensation:
- $26.68 to $29.90 per hour.

- 40 regular hours per week
