The City of Temiskaming Shores is seeking quotations from qualified electricians for the complete supply and replacement of a defective Variable Frequency Drive at the Niven St. Pumping Station, located at 185 Niven St. North.

Project Overview

One of the three Variable Frequency Drives for the 200hp pumps at the Niven St. Pumping Station has been identified as defective and requires replacement. The replacement VFD is to be an Eaton PowerXL DG1-35208FN-C21C VFD.

Scope of Work Highlights

• Supply of an Eaton PowerXL DG1-35208FN-C21C VFD.
• Isolate power and control circuits for the damaged VFD.
• Lockout source of power.
• Remove damaged VFD.
• Install the new Eaton PowerXL DG1-35208FN-C21C VFD in place.
• Complete programming and commissioning of the new VFD.

Equipment / Deliverables

The replacement VFD must be an Eaton PowerXL DG1-35208FN-C21C VFD. The document notes that the replacement VFD is identical to an existing VFD for another pump at the pumping station, with pictures provided for reference in Appendix 01 and specifications provided in Appendix 02.

All specifications, descriptions and warranty information must be provided with the submission.

Project Schedule Requirements

The Form of Quotation requires proponents to identify the number of days required to deliver the required goods, services, or equipment upon receiving a signed purchase order. Quotations submitted and prices offered shall be irrevocable and open for acceptance for a period of not less than thirty days.

Evaluation Overview

The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all quotations. The lowest priced quotation will not necessarily be accepted. The City also reserves the right to request clarification or supplementary information, enter into negotiations with a proponent, and confirm information provided by a proponent with third parties or references.

Important Notes / Compliance

• The Form of Quotation must be signed by the bidder or responsible official of the firm bidding.
• Line items and total contract price must be clearly indicated.
• Pricing shall exclude Harmonized Sales Tax or any other applicable taxes, which will be considered extra.
• The normal payment term offered by the City is net 30 days, upon satisfactory completion.
• All accepted work and products, including drawings, reports or other materials delivered to the City, shall become the property of the City.
• The successful proponent shall indemnify the City as outlined in the RFQ document.
• The bidder shall comply with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 and applicable regulations.
• Information is collected pursuant to the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
• Proprietary or confidential information contained in the quotation should be clearly identified.
• The required submission forms include the Form of Quotation, Non-Collusion Affidavit, and Conflict of Interest Declaration.
